The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magomedov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Magomedov in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Nogueira manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Well, if Magomedov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magomedov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Nogueira wants to control but Magomedov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nogueira is looking to control Magomedov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nogueira avoid being mounted?
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Nogueira is not content to let Magomedov control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Magomedov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Nogueira drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Magomedov defends it well.

Nogueira should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A punch lands to the side of Nogueira 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Magomedov misses with a wild body shot.

Nogueira throws an overhand right that lands on Magomedov's shoulder, as Magomedov tries to avoid the shot.
Magomedov cracks Nogueira with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Nogueira tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Magomedov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Nogueira is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
