Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reed Mckenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jung Sun Chin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckenzie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chin with the counter takedown but Mckenzie avoids it easily.
Mckenzie throws the kick towards the body but Chin avoids it.
Chin misses with a takedown attempt - Mckenzie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Chin gets tackled into the cage by Mckenzie. Mckenzie maintains the clinch.
Mckenzie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Chin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mckenzie walks away with a smile on his face. Chin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mckenzie avoids it really well and circles away.
Reed Mckenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jung Sun Chin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mckenzie drives through with a takedown into Chin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Mckenzie throwing strikes but missing.
Chin tries to strike from the bottom.
Mckenzie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mckenzie works over Chin with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chin is looking for a triangle but Mckenzie pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mckenzie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mckenzie is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mckenzie wants to control from the top but Chin keeps moving.

Chin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mckenzie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Chin is tightening it up a little... Mckenzie has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mckenzie reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mckenzie taps out! Nice BJJ there by Chin!
