Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thurman Battle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendrick Mack!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle throws a nice looking combination but Mack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mack swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Battle counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Battle throws a punch but it's blocked by Mack.
Battle connects with a nasty looking knee right to Mack's face.

Mack has hold of one of Battle's legs. Battle is fighting the takedown attempt but Mack gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Battle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Battle is looking for a triangle but Mack pushes his legs off easily.
Mack is in close to Battle's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mack stands up over Battle, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

It looks like Thurman Battle has been cut.
Mack cracks Battle with a solid left hand.

Battle is rocked!

Thurman Battle's cut is getting worse.
Mack gets to his feet and stands over Battle, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Battle felt that one! Mack unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Battle from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kendrick Mack!
