Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanegawa Takanobu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanegawa Takanobu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanobu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hill.
Takanobu changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hill clinches up against the cage.
Hill wants to break the clinch but can't.
Takanobu is looking for a takedown.
Hill tries to pull guard but Takanobu holds him up against the cage and eventually Hill drops back down to his feet.
Takanobu has Hill pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hill manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hill is pressed up against the cage. Takanobu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hill down to the mat. Hill avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mason Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kanegawa Takanobu.
Hill thumps Takanobu with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill stalks Takanobu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Takanobu's face. Takanobu staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Kanegawa Takanobu has been cut.
Hill throws a leg kick
and Takanobu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Takanobu.
Takanobu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takanobu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hill is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hill has escaped and now he's on top!
Hill is looking to stand up but Takanobu won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill wants to stand and escape but instead Takanobu has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Takanobu prevents Hill from getting back to his feet.
Takanobu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like Takanobu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hill can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Takanobu controls the pace.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hill keeping moving, preventing Takanobu from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hill clinches with his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hill gets underhooks to prevent Takanobu's takedown attempt.
Takanobu is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hill is defending well.
Hill manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hill gets through Takanobu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Takanobu has Hill pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hill manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Takanobu keeps control of Hill as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hill closes the distance but Takanobu moves to the side
and Takanobu counters with a takedown into side control.
Takanobu swings around for an armbar but Hill sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Takanobu's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takanobu can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hill wants to stand but Takanobu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Takanobu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Takanobu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hill stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hill fails with a takedown attempt.
And Takanobu tries to counter it with a takedown but Hill pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hill lands a two punch combo.
Hill connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Takanobu momentarily.
Mason Hill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Takanobu counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Takanobu is trying for a kimura here. Hill looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Takanobu wins by kimura!
