Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nobero Shimasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Austin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobero Shimasaki!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Austin.
Shimasaki appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Austin moves to clinch but Shimasaki breaks away
and Shimasaki makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Austin defending well as Shimasaki loads up on a big left hand.
Shimasaki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Austin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shimasaki misses with a body kick.
Shimasaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Austin backing away here, and Shimasaki unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Nice sprawl there from Austin as Shimasaki shoots in.
Shimasaki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Austin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Austin throws a series of punches but Shimasaki moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Austin pushes Shimasaki up against the cage in a clinch.
Austin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Shimasaki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Shimasaki with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Shimasaki lands an elbow inside that Austin shrugs off.


It looks like Jack Austin has been cut.
Austin throws a punch but it's blocked by Shimasaki.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shimasaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shimasaki drives through and clinches with Austin against the cage.
Austin has a couple of punches blocked by Shimasaki.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Austin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Shimasaki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Austin throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Nice body punch from Austin.
Our sources have told us that Austin has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Shimasaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Austin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A leg kick checked by Austin.
Shimasaki takes one on the button.
Austin throws a right hand that Shimasaki ducks under and follows up with a left that Shimasaki also avoids with ease.
Austin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shimasaki to score with a decent uppercut.

Austin forces Shimasaki back against the cage and clinches.
Shimasaki is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Shimasaki throws a knee to the head but misses.
Austin lands a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Austin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shimasaki blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Shimasaki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Austin uses from the top position.

Austin stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Shimasaki clinches up with Austin and pushes him back against the cage.
Austin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A left hand lands to the body for Austin.
Shimasaki looks winded!
Shimasaki throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Come on Austin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Austin lands a shot to the body.
A nice left hand lands by Austin.
Austin lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Austin scores with a nice hook to the head.
Shimasaki blocks a body shot from Austin.
Austin gets through Shimasaki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Austin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Austin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Shimasaki backwards.
Stalling in the clinch from Austin.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shimasaki looking to stall.
Austin scores with a hook to the body.
Shimasaki throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Austin blocks it with crossed arms.
Austin pushes Shimasaki back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Austin lands with a right to the head.


Shimasaki is rocked!
Austin unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Shimasaki! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Austin is unloading with more strikes now! Shimasaki drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Austin!
After the fight, Jack Austin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Nobero Shimasaki was interviewed post fight and said 'Team Goroshi - Kore Fight Nutrition - Dudes Gym'.
