And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morgan swivels and escapes.

Jones clinches.
Jones fails to pull guard.
A head punch on the inside from Morgan fails to land.
Jones leaning his opponent against the cage.
Morgan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Morgan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Morgan, which made it look bad.
Modesto Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juko Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morgan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Juko Jones has been cut.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morgan but Morgan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Morgan takes the fight into the clinch.

Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Morgan sees coming a mile off.
Jones throws a push kick but Morgan slaps the foot to one side.
Juko Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morgan circles away.

Morgan gets a clinch.
Morgan goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Morgan gets full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morgan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Morgan throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.

Jones throws some strikes from the bottom but Morgan isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! Jones is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for Morgan!
