Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laucidio Coelho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Nystrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nystrom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coelho tries to avoid it but Nystrom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coelho to the ground. Coelho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nystrom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Coelho's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nystrom drops back, looking for a kneebar! Coelho looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Coelho looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Coelho!

Nystrom drops back looking for a leg! Coelho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Coelho manages to kick Nystrom off! Nystrom jumps back into Coelho's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Nystrom closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Nystrom wants to work for an arm triangle but Coelho is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nystrom postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coelho is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nystrom, into his guard.

Coelho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nystrom has his foot on Coelho's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coelho works his way back into a safe position though.

Coelho is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nystrom has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coelho is looking to defend but Nystrom has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coelho! Nystrom pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coelho taps out and this one is all over!
