Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grant Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eik Hoisen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoisen rushes Knight and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Hoisen misses with a knee to the head.
Hoisen unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Hoisen scores a nice knee to the body.
Hoisen stalling in the clinch but Knight improves position.
Knight misses with a short punch on the inside.
Knight lands a hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Eik Hoisen has been cut.

I was talking to Knight's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Knight lands a nice uppercut.

Knight lands with a short shot to the head.
Hoisen is still on wobbly legs! Can Knight finish him?
Come on Hoisen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Knight creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hoisen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hoisen drops to his knees and Knight pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grant Knight!
