Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Palmer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer misses with a combination

and Saunders moves into the clinch.
Palmer working hard to break the clinch.
Palmer can't break the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Palmer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Palmer is pressed up against the cage. Saunders has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Palmer down to the mat. Palmer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Palmer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palmer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saunders moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Palmer throws a nice looking combination but Saunders bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Palmer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Palmer looks to land a combination. Saunders sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Saunders wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Palmer throws a nice looking combination but Saunders bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Saunders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Nice straight punches there by Palmer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Palmer.
Palmer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Palmer lands a two punch combo.
Palmer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Saunders counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Saunders.
Palmer wants to break free but Saunders has control.
Saunders keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Palmer's efforts to push away.

Saunders works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Saunders cracks Palmer with a solid left hand.

Saunders drops back looking for a leg! Palmer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Palmer manages to kick Saunders off! Saunders jumps back into Palmer's guard.
Saunders scoring with some ground and pound.

Saunders thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Saunders prevents Palmer from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saunders landing some decent shots from guard.
Saunders scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Saunders scoring with punches to the head and body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saunders drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Saunders as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Palmer screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Saunders! Nice submission victory there!
