The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cunning shoots in looking for a takedown but Hanson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cunning's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cunning defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hanson.
Cunning misses with a low kick as Hanson jumps back.
Hanson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Cunning clinches with his opponent.
Hanson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cunning prevents Hanson from breaking the clinch.
Cunning lands an elbow inside that Hanson shrugs off.

It looks like Tomas Hanson has been cut.

Cunning breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanson dives in and grabs Cunning's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cunning pushes down on Hanson's head and hops out.

Hanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cunning rushes Hanson and presses him up against the cage.
Cunning is pressed up against the cage. Hanson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cunning down to the mat. Cunning avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cunning throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hanson's waist but Hanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cunning off to one side.

Cunning gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hanson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cunning is taking a breather. Hanson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hanson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hanson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cunning - the referee stops the clock and Hanson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cunning. Hanson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hanson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cunning is trying to escape and Hanson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cunning is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hanson! Very nice indeed!
