Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Captain Carolean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vato Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carolean comes to the cage accompanied by Visa Från Utanmyra. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Loco lands a nice shot that snaps Carolean's head back.
Carolean drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Carolean throws a low kick but Loco avoids it.
A cross from Loco lands.
Carolean fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carolean displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loco.
Loco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carolean moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Loco looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Carolean slips a jab and a cross from Loco.
Loco throws a right and a left that Carolean avoids nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carolean slaps away a takedown attempt from Loco, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Loco falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carolean connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carolean closes the distance and clinches.
Carolean softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Carolean makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Carolean jumps into guard, dragging Loco to the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Loco accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Carolean wants to stand up but Loco is controlling him.
Loco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Loco has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Carolean is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Loco drops back looking for a leg! Carolean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carolean manages to kick Loco off! Loco jumps back into Carolean's guard.
Loco throws an elbow that misses. Carolean uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Loco's guard. Nice move by Carolean!

Carolean looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Carolean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loco on the ground.
Loco pushes Carolean off looking to stand but Carolean dives back in and keeps control.

and Carolean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Captain Carolean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vato Loco.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Loco shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carolean defends it nicely.
Loco on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Loco works Carolean's body with a nice hook.
Carolean gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Loco connects with a jab.
Some wild striking there from Loco.
Carolean seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Carolean doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Loco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Loco throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carolean is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Captain Carolean will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Carolean lands with an overhand left.
A punch combination from Loco misses.
Loco fails to land with a series of punches.

Vato Loco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loco blocks a head kick by Carolean.
Loco fails with the takedown.
Loco shoots in for a double leg but Carolean sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Carolean stuffs the takedown attempt from Loco. Loco gets slowly back to his feet.
Captain Carolean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vato Loco.
Carolean lands a really nice looking cross but Loco seems unphased.
Loco is still on wobbly legs! Can Carolean finish him?

Loco misses with a lunging right hand
and Carolean counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Loco is breathing heavily.
Carolean tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carolean drops Loco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Loco looks back up at him and smiles so Carolean waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Carolean has managed to clinch.
Carolean breaks from the clinch.
Loco throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carolean counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Loco off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Carolean follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Loco was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Captain Carolean!
Captain Carolean made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Winning starts with a happy stomach, now lets feast!'.
