Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LightHeavy Weight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helm comes to the cage accompanied by Spazzin - Gary Podunk. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, LightHeavy Weight!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helm's corner calls for a 1-2. Helm obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Helm looks to throw the jab but Weight is out of range.
Weight slips a jab and a cross from Helm.
Weight throws a body punch but Helm moves out of range.
Helm swings for the body but Weight moves out of range.
Helm throws the left hand but Weight avoids the punch easily.
Weight slips under a jab from Helm.
Helm fails to land with a series of punches.
Weight doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Weight scores with a sloppy right hand. Helm should have avoided that one.
Weight scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Weight throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Helm throws a looping overhand right but Weight ducks down to avoid it.
Helm scores with a sloppy right hand. Weight should have avoided that one.
Helm swings widly with a right hand
and Weight counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Helm thinking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Weight rushes Helm and presses him up against the cage.
Helm takes an elbow to the temple.
Weight lands a body shot in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Weight.
Weight lands a left hand that snaps the head of Helm backwards.

A left hand lands to the body for Weight.
Helm is breathing heavily.
Weight lands a nice elbow.
Weight tries to throw a body punch but Helm avoids it by throwing Weight back against the cage.
Weight pushes off an throws an elbow but Helm leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Weight tries to work over Helm's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Weight lands a damaging elbow.
Helm avoids the elbow strike from Weight, against the cage.
Weight gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Helm takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like James Helm has been cut.
Weight lands an elbow just above Helm 's eye.
Weight looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Weight lands an elbow inside that Helm shrugs off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Helm wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Helm tries to break the clinch but Weight is controlling the position.
Weight lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Weight scores with a nice hook to the head.
Oh Helm is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Weight creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Helm with a big uppercut! Helm tries to clinch up but Weight pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Helm to the mat! Helm covers up and Weight unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). LightHeavy Weight! LightHeavy Weight retains his light heavyweight title!
LightHeavy Weight decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
James Helm was interviewed post fight and said 'It's time to get back the gym and grind harder for next time.'.
