Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Keller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Keller!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Keller sprawls well. Keller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.
Keller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Keller wants it to stay on the feet.

Lewis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lewis lands in his opponent's guard.
Lewis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Lewis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Keller swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lewis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Keller for as long as he can get away with.
Lewis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lewis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lewis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Keller misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Keller can't do much from the bottom here.
Lewis has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Lewis looking to control but Keller is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Keller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Lewis content just to control the position here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Further stalling from Lewis.
Keller tries to hold on but Lewis pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lewis looking to finish Keller with some ground and pound. This is bad for Keller!

Keller is bucking up trying to escape but Lewis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lewis controlling the pace for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lewis lands a couple of good shots and Keller has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Lewis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lewis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keller circles away.
Keller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lewis defends it nicely.
Keller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lewis's waist but Lewis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keller off to one side.
Lewis is looking to counter the offense by Keller and move into the clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Keller checks a leg kick.
Keller misses with a head kick.
Lewis tries for a takedown but Keller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Keller tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lance Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis drives through and clinches with Keller against the cage.
Lewis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Keller after a bit of a struggle.

Lewis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Keller smiles and moves away.
Keller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewis as he jumps to the side.

Keller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight stays on the outside here - Keller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lewis rushes Keller and presses him up against the cage.

Keller is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lewis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Keller to the mat. Keller regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Lance Lewis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lewis has gone for a leg lock! Keller slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lewis's guard.

Lewis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lewis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Keller manages to get himself to full guard.

Lewis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Keller can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lewis controls the pace.

Lewis shoots in looking for a takedown. Keller tries to sprawl out of it but Lewis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Keller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lewis throws a shot from downtown. Keller moves away and avoids it.
Keller connects with a looping right hand.

Lewis forces Keller back against the cage and clinches.

Keller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Lewis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Keller but Keller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Keller lands a two punch combo.
Keller wants to clinch.
Lewis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lewis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

It looks like Lance Lewis has been cut.

Keller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Keller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lewis doesn't manage to clinch there - Keller circles away.
Keller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lewis swivels and escapes.

Keller throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Keller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lewis but Lewis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It looked like Lewis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Lewis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Keller swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Keller fails to land the takedown.
Lewis tries to counter with a takedown but Keller is quick to defend against it.

Lance Lewis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Keller can't find room to land a body shot as Lewis controls the action.

Jim Keller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
