Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Ferrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Poma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poma closes the distance and pushes Ferrell back into the cage.
Ferrell misses with a punch on the inside.
Ferrell wants to break the clinch but can't.

Poma is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ferrell can't fight it off and eventually Poma manages to take the fight to the floor. Ferrell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ferrell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Poma must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ferrell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Ferrell controls Poma momentarily but Poma frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferrell has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Poma has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Ferrell tries to score a body lock takedown but Poma shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ferrell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ferrell moves to clinch but Poma breaks away
and Poma counters with a left and a right that stings Ferrell.
Ferrell tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Poma counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Ferrell! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
