Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendrick Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Parker Patterson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mack won't allow Patterson to pass to mount.
Patterson trying to control from half guard but Mack is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patterson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson is trying to control the action in half guard but Mack is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Patterson is just content to waste time from the top position. Mack takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Patterson wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mack misses with the combination.
Patterson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mack!

Patterson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mack to the mat! Mack manages to get full guard.
Patterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Mack is retaining full guard.
Mack wants to stand but Patterson is controlling the position.
Patterson trying to control but Mack is working from the bottom.

Patterson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Patterson stands up over Mack, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Patterson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Patterson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mack's guard.
Mack is breathing heavily.
Patterson wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.

Patterson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mack wriggles free and stands up.
Patterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Patterson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mack counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A right-left combo lands from Mack.
Mack throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely.
Patterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Patterson off to one side.
Patterson misses with a kick to the body.
Patterson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mack.

Nice sprawl there from Mack as Patterson shoots in.
Mack slaps away a takedown attempt from Patterson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kendrick Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parker Patterson.
Mack tries to clinch but Patterson is having none of it.
Patterson slips a jab and a cross from Mack.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Patterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mack lands a jab-cross combination.
Patterson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mack. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kendrick Mack dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kendrick Mack is winning the standup battle so far.
A combination from Mack does no damage.
Patterson unleashes a big counter combination but Mack bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Patterson clinches with his opponent.

Mack manages to break the clinch.
Patterson misses with a head kick.
Mack misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Patterson darts in and clinches Mack up against the cage.

Patterson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Patterson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mack looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Patterson controls the position.

Patterson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Patterson misses with the combination.
Sloppy strikes from Mack. Those never looked like landing.

Mack clinches up against the cage.

Patterson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Patterson trying to mount his opponent but Mack defends it.
Mack is trying to stand up here but Patterson is controlling him well.
Patterson wants to pass to mount but Mack is defending the position.

Mack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mack tries to get out of the position.

Patterson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mack in his tracks.

Patterson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mack's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack is trying to stand back up but Patterson is controlling him

Patterson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker Patterson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Mack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Patterson won't allow Mack to get back to his feet.
Patterson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Patterson wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.

Patterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Patterson off to one side.
Mack pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patterson scores with the left hand. Mack knows he should have avoided that one.
Mack swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Mack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Patterson closes the distance and clinches.

Mack breaks the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patterson is defended easily by Mack.
Kendrick Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parker Patterson.

Mack clinches up with Patterson and pushes him back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Patterson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mack is defending well.

Mack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mack scoring well with a low kick there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Parker Patterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Patterson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
