Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ima Yerface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yerface comes to the cage accompanied by In Flames - Like You Better Dead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 21 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ima Yerface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Butler!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yerface jabs at Butler's body.
Yerface stuns Butler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Yerface lands a leg kick that knocks Butler off balance momentarily.
Yerface connects with a looping right hand.
Butler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Butler there as he acknowledges the shot.
Butler is looking to land body kicks.
Butler looks to clinch
and Yerface counters with a nice leg kick.
Ima Yerface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yerface throws a nice outside leg kick.
Yerface leaves Butler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Yerface fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Butler throws a sloppy head kick and Yerface moves out of range easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yerface lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yerface lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Butler darts in trying to clinch
and Yerface counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Butler chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yerface can pounce on him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Butler.
Yerface scores with a shot to the body.
Yerface bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Butler's head backwards.
Yerface ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Yerface scores with a shot to the body.
Yerface throws a head kick but Butler moves out of range.
Yerface throws a series of punches but Butler avoids them all with ease.
Butler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Butler has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Yerface.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Butler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Yerface.
Butler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

enabling Yerface to counter with a crisp jab.
Yerface tests Butler's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Yerface changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Butler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Butler tries to buck Yerface off but Yerface is having none of it.
Yerface wants to lay and pray for a moment but Butler keeps working.

Yerface moves into full mount!
Yerface controlling the pace for now.
Yerface with a couple of short strikes.
Butler tries to reverse the position but Yerface maintains control.
Yerface wants to control the pace but Butler is squirming around nicely.

Yerface content just to control the position here.
Yerface trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yerface working the ground and pound effectively.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yerface has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Butler's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Yerface connects with a body shot.
Ima Yerface is winning the standup battle so far.
Butler gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Yerface counters with an outside leg kick.
Yerface feints and then cracks Butler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Butler down.

Butler dives in and scores a takedown into Yerface's guard.
Yerface pulls Butler in close to prevent any damage.
Butler throwing strikes but missing.

Yerface is looking for a triangle here but Butler uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Butler swings around for an armbar but Yerface sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Butler's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yerface accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Yerface throws a big right hand that misses.
Butler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Yerface is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Butler can do to turn this around?

Ima Yerface overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yerface holds on and takes a little breather.
Yerface has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Butler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Butler throws a series of punches but Yerface moves out of range.
Butler wants to clinch up but Yerface keeps it at a distance.
Yerface tried to counter with a leg kick but Butler avoided it.
Butler's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Butler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Butler seems to be working for a kimura but Yerface defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are battling for position here. Yerface manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Butler wants to get up but he can't break Yerface's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A close second round but Jake Butler will probably get the nod - 10:9.

No luck for Butler with that takedown attempt.
Yerface uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Butler has time to react.
Yerface throws a combination. Butler tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Butler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Butler has knee on belly momentarily but Yerface bucks him off and regains half guard.
Yerface is trying to control but can't.

Butler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yerface does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Butler seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Yerface has one foot on Butler's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Yerface takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Yerface - that will leave a mark!
Butler goes for a double leg but Yerface avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yerface continues to drive forward.
Butler takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Butler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yerface as he jumps to the side.
Ima Yerface has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Butler.
Yerface lands with a kick to the temple. Butler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Yerface counters with a series of strikes. Butler will be more careful next time no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yerface dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Butler. That did some damage!

Yerface connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Butler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Yerface counter with a right hand.
Yerface ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Butler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yerface throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Butler.

Yerface comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Yerface shoots in but no luck this time.
Yerface looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Yerface scores with a punch to the head.
Butler shoots in but Yerface avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yerface scores with a decent looking hook.
Yerface lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Butler backs up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ima Yerface showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Yerface has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
