Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oliver Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Robles counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Robles seems content to control.
Robles prevents Reynolds from improving his position.
Robles sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Reynolds is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robles stops Reynolds from getting back to his feet.

Reynolds wants to stand but Robles is controlling the position.
Reynolds wants to sweep here but Robles controlling him for the moment.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Reynolds holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reynolds has a closed guard, preventing Robles from standing up.
Robles stays in close to Reynolds's body and controls the position.
Robles wants to get up but he can't break Reynolds's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reynolds. Robles does a little dance to reset his feet.
Robles throws a big counter combination but Reynolds scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Robles dives in and grabs Reynolds's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reynolds pushes down on Robles's head and hops out.

Robles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Reynolds drives through and clinches with Robles against the cage.
Reynolds tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Robles smiles and moves away.

Robles misses with a low kick.
Reynolds looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Reynolds throws a series of punches but Robles avoids them all with ease.

Reynolds's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oliver Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Reynolds closes the distance and clinches.

Robles is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Reynolds pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That was a close round but I would say that Marco Robles will probably get the nod.

Robles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reynolds looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Reynolds is looking for a sweep.

Robles wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reynolds, who protects the arm well.
Robles controls the position.

Reynolds manages to work his way to half guard, despite Robles's best efforts.
Robles trying to control the action but Reynolds is working from the bottom.

Robles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reynolds keeps working.

Robles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Robles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Reynolds counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Reynolds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reynolds throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Robles's waist but Robles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reynolds off to one side.
As Reynolds tries to get set, Robles tries to push him back and clinch up but Reynolds manages to avoid the attempt.

Robles is trying to break the clinch but Reynolds is controlling him.

Reynolds has managed to clinch.
Robles is trying to push Reynolds away but Reynolds has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Reynolds breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reynolds throws a right hand that Robles ducks under and follows up with a left that Robles also avoids with ease.

Robles tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reynolds smiles and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Robles stuffs the takedown attempt from Reynolds. Reynolds gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marco Robles will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Oliver Reynolds seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Reynolds connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Robles's hands.
Horrible takedown attempt by Reynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Robles, which made it look bad.

Robles is trying to drag Reynolds to the mat but Reynolds just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Reynolds ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Reynolds goes for a double leg but Robles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Robles continues to drive forward.
Robles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reynolds is trying hard to land a takedown here. Robles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Reynolds takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Robles counters by clinching up.

Reynolds is fighting off a takedown attempt but Robles is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Reynolds to the mat. Reynolds regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Reynolds is looking for a triangle but Robles pushes his legs off easily.
Reynolds wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Robles is now in half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Robles tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reynolds manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reynolds shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Robles eats them both and turns towards Reynolds to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Marco Robles has been cut.

Robles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Robles has Reynolds pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Reynolds manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Robles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reynolds looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
