PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Miller's choice of entrance music: Jack N Box. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kane Miller was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kane Miller!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valdez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard.
Valdez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Miller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Valdez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Valdez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miller's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller tries to kick Valdez off but Valdez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miller tries to roll over but Valdez keeps him under control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Valdez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Valdez takes Miller's back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Miller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miller lands in his opponent's guard.

Valdez has his feet on Miller's thighs here. He's pushed Miller off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Miller screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
