Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Konrad Husky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Ode Jokinen!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Husky displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jokinen throws out the jab.

Husky closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Husky throwing shots but Jokinen is blocking nicely.
Jokinen is trying to get back to full guard.
We've been hearing that Husky has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jokinen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jokinen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Husky is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jokinen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jokinen's back!
The referee is taking a good look at Jokinen as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Husky!
Jokinen tries to break free.
Husky is trying to stick to Jokinen's back but Jokinen is turning into Husky. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Husky's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jokinen.
Husky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Husky has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jokinen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Husky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Konrad Husky will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jokinen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Husky shoots in looking for a takedown. Jokinen tries to sprawl out of it but Husky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jokinen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Husky can't keep his opponent in guard - Jokinen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Husky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jokinen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jokinen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Husky tries to control but Jokinen manages to take his back.
Our spies down at at Team Anarchy MMA inform us that Jokinen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Husky is trying to remain composed but Jokinen is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Jokinen tries to keep control of the position but Husky is staying busy.

Jokinen is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Husky. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Jokinen is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jokinen gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jokinen gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jokinen apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Ode Jokinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Husky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jokinen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Husky to the mat. Husky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ode Jokinen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jokinen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
