PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Travis Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slenderman Creeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slenderman Creeper will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slenderman Creeper!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Knight is trying hard to land a takedown here. Creeper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Creeper! But no joy.
Knight gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Creeper holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Creeper manages to break the clinch.

Creeper tries to sprawl but Knight drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Knight is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Creeper is staying active underneath Knight, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creeper looks like he's trying to stand up.

Creeper tries to get to full guard but Knight has control of the leg.

Knight is looking for a kimura but Creeper is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Knight to get the leverage.
Creeper is looking for a sweep. Knight is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Knight trying to pass the guard but Creeper defending well.
Creeper is trying to stand.
Creeper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Creeper is refusing to be controlled, as Knight sits in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Creeper leaves Knight with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Creeper doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A nice combination there by Knight.

Creeper feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Knight sprawling to the canvas! Knight rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Creeper finish him?!


Knight is rocked!
Creeper has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Creeper clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage.
Creeper avoiding damage.
Creeper pressing his opponent against the cage.
Knight jumps guard but Creeper stands there with Knight around his waist. Knight gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Creeper has Knight pressed against the cage, preventing Knight from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Creeper breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Knight with that takedown attempt.
Creeper scores with a punch to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Knight dives in and grabs Creeper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Creeper pushes down on Knight's head and hops out.
Creeper looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Knight has a takedown stuffed.

Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Creeper's waist but Creeper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side.
Knight will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Creeper lands a glancing blow to the side of Knight's head.
Knight fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Creeper avoids it really well and circles away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slenderman Creeper dominated that round.
That's time! Knight's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Knight misses with a takedown attempt - Creeper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Knight shoots in but no luck this time.

Knight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Creeper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Knight tries to advance to mount but Creeper denies him.
Knight wants to lay and pray for a moment but Creeper keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knight tries to move to mount but Creeper blocks the move with his legs.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Knight tries for a kimura but Creeper is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knight staying calm.

Knight thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Knight is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Creeper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Knight wants to lay and pray for a moment but Creeper keeps working.
Creeper wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Knight misses with a straight left.
Knight fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Creeper clobbers Knight with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Knight tries to keep at a distance but Creeper has taken the fight into the clinch.
Creeper prevents the takedown attempt.
Knight goes for a takedown in the clinch but Creeper prevents it.
Creeper lands a left hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Creeper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Travis Knight will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Creeper stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Creeper wants it to stay on the feet.

Creeper closes the distance and clinches.
Creeper lands with a short shot to the head.
Knight is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Creeper lands a shoulder strike.

Creeper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight shoots and misses
and Creeper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oh Knight is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Knight shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Creeper manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Knight seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight trying to control but Creeper is working from the bottom.
Travis Knight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Creeper wants to stand up but Knight is controlling him.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Creeper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Knight is keen to just control but Creeper is a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Knight shoots in but Creeper avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A little jabbing left from Creeper on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Knight is defended easily by Creeper.

As Knight backs off Creeper throws a huge counter combo but Knight manages to avoid it all.

Knight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Creeper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knight somewhat.
Creeper tries to counter by closing the distance.
Knight tests Creeper's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knight looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Knight shoots for a takedown but Creeper saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knight fails with a takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Creeper's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Knight misses with a takedown
and Creeper counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

And that's the end of the fight!
Slenderman Creeper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Creeper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
