PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Delphino Atlantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Octavius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atlantis comes into the arena with cream - those were the days blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atlantis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Atlantis moves out of range of the body kick.
Octavius throws a low kick but Atlantis moves out of range easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Atlantis.
Atlantis lands a nice looking body kick.
Atlantis tries a low kick but Octavius avoids it.

We've been informed that Octavius has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Atlantis lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Atlantis is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Octavius has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Atlantis wants to take a breather but Octavius is having none of it.

Delphino Atlantis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Octavius tries to hold on but Atlantis postures up.
Atlantis lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Atlantis lands a big shot there that rocks Octavius but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Atlantis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Octavius is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Atlantis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Octavius can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Atlantis prevents Octavius from getting the reversal.

Atlantis is working for a guillotine from mount but Octavius frees his head quite easily.

Atlantis quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Atlantis but it's paid off an Octavius is forced to tap! Nice work by Atlantis.
