The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson misses with a shot to the body
and Lamb counters with a straight right hand.
Simpson throws a right hand that Lamb ducks under and follows up with a left that Lamb also avoids with ease.
Simpson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lamb is trying to defend but Simpson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Simpson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Simpson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Lamb is trying to maintain the position but Simpson is very close to passing his half guard.
Simpson winds up and cracks Lamb with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Lamb slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simpson works over Lamb with some ground and pound from guard.

Simpson stands up over Lamb, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Simpson arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lamb's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
