Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between tommy gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Acelino Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Acelino Alves will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, tommy gun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Acelino Alves!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gun wants to clinch.
Alves closes this distance looking for a takedown but gun circles away.

gun rushes Alves and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
gun lands a nice uppercut.
gun tries to score a body lock takedown but Alves shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
gun tries to land knees in the clinch but Alves avoids the damage to the body.

gun breaks the clinch.
gun throws a nice outside leg kick.
Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. gun tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag gun to the ground. gun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

gun shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than gun was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

gun scoring with strikes but Alves is staying in there.
Alves gets back to half guard.
gun blocks the strikes from Alves.
Alves is trying to control but can't.
gun not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alves is pressing down on gun's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Alves has his foot on gun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. gun works his way back into a safe position though.
Alves looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
gun trying to control but Alves is working from the bottom.
gun has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Alves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
gun wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving.

gun might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
gun lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Alves lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for gun!

Alves looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Alves throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

and gun counters with a lovely shot to the body.

gun drives through and clinches with Alves against the cage.

gun trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Alves has gone for a leg lock! gun slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alves's guard.
gun tries to stand but Alves is controlling from the bottom.

Alves wants to control but gun is keeping busy and won't allow it.

gun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alves on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

gun tries to pass to full mount but Alves defends it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
gun is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
gun wants to hold on but Alves pushes him away.

Alves is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Alves extends the arm and gun is forced to tap!
