Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob has chosen Grandpa as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Great Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Great Bob!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob circles away from the clinch attempt.
Good work by Anderson as he checks the leg kick.

Bob gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Anderson advances position into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy.

Anderson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bob wants to get back to his feet but Anderson drags him back down.
Bob is not content to let Anderson control the position.
Bob prevents Anderson from moving into mount.

Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bob knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Anderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Anderson is controlling him well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bob is looking for a sweep.
Anderson working away.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Bob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Anderson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bob throws a quick inside leg kick.
Anderson fails with the takedown.
Bob misses with a wild body shot.
Bob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bob instigates a clinch.
Bob stalling the fight.
Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bob avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bob tries to land knees in the clinch but Anderson avoids the damage to the body.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Bob won't allow it.

Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bob tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anderson was well out of range. Poor timing from Bob.
Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bob pinned against the cage. Bob gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
Bob throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob pushes Anderson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Anderson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bob tries to improve position but can't.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bob.
Nice sprawl there from Bob as Anderson shoots in.
Anderson fails to land the takedown.
Anderson shoots in but no luck this time.

Bob throws a head kick that Anderson semi-blocks.
Bob explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Bob swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anderson throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab.
Anderson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bob finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Bob lands with a slapping head kick.
Bob keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Anderson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bob.
Anderson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Anderson blocks a head kick by Bob.
Bob fails to land with a series of punches.
Anderson has his takedown stuffed
and Bob makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bob throws a head kick that half lands.

enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab.

Bob throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Anderson needs to keep his hands up - Bob had a free shot at his head there.

enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab.

Bob closes the distance and clinches.
Bob comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Bob unloads a knee to the mid-section. Anderson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Bob has Anderson pressed against the cage.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Bob holds him up against the cage and eventually Anderson drops back down to his feet.
Bob is struggling to control the position.
Bob continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Great Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Bob lands with a kick to the temple. Anderson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bob throws a head kick that misses.
Bob misses with a wild combination.
A good leg kick by Bob.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson has his takedown stuffed
and Bob counters with a one-two to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Anderson moves out of range of the body kick from Bob.

Anderson throws a leg kick
and Bob counters with a body kick.
Bob fakes the leg kick and cracks Anderson in the body.
Bob throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.
Anderson fails with the takedown
and Bob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bob - that will leave a mark!
Anderson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bob counters with a body kick that stops Anderson in his tracks momentarily.
Bob scores with a head kick.
Anderson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Anderson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bob has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.
Bob gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Anderson.

Bob lands an elbow that stopped Anderson in his tracks for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bob connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bob scores with a kick to the body.
Bob scores with a nice head shot.
Great Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anderson misses with a takedown
and Bob counters with a three punch combo that has Anderson backing up. Anderson nods at Bob to acknowledge the strikes.
Bob tries a head kick but it misses.
Bob fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Anderson.
Bob lands with a nice combination. Anderson backs away looking to recover.
Anderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bob counters with a good low kick that Anderson was not able to check.

And that's the end of the fight!
Great Bob comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bob has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
