The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Craft gets caught flat footed, as Samson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Samson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Craft is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Samson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Craft swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Craft trying to strike off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Samson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Craft throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Craft knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Samson on the ground.
Craft is trying to control but can't.

Samson is looking to advance position but Craft won't allow it.

Craft looking for submissions off his back.
Samson is pressing down on Craft's thigh, looking to free his foot. Craft is holding on for now.

Samson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Samson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Samson stands up and beckons Craft to his feet.

Samson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Craft throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Samson controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Samson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Craft knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Samson is working for a kimura but Craft is defending it quite comfortably.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Craft is staying active underneath Samson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Samson has an Americana. Craft didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Samson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Samson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
