Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shelton King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Carter's choice of entrance music: 99 Problems Remix. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shelton King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Carter!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails to land the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shelton King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King looks for a takedown but Carter sprawls well.
King misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carter scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Shelton King has been cut.
King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shelton King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side.
Carter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
King has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carter finds it's way round the side to connect with King's head.
Carter lands with an uppercut that bounces King off the cage and back into rage.

King is rocked!
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Carter sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
King is breathing heavily.
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carter swivels and escapes.
King takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Carter lands with a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Carter connects with a nice cross there... King is looking wobbly and Carter recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send King to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Carter jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
