Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kell Nrowbn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kell Nrowbn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nixon rushes Nrowbn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nixon looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nixon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Nrowbn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Nixon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nrowbn is taking a breather. Nixon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nrowbn wants to pass the guard but Nixon is defending well.
Nrowbn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Nrowbn is looking to advance position but Nixon won't allow it.

Nixon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nrowbn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Nrowbn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

No joy there for Nrowbn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch but Nrowbn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nrowbn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nixon slips a jab and a cross from Nrowbn.

Nrowbn closes the distance and clinches.
Nixon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Nrowbn gets control of Nixon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nrowbn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nixon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
