Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ike Francis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wesley Edmonton!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Edmonton.
Edmonton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Francis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Edmonton.
Edmonton trying to control the action but Francis is working from the bottom.
Francis can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edmonton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Francis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Edmonton but great work by Francis.

Edmonton parries the strikes from Francis easily there. Francis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Edmonton to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Edmonton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looked like Francis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Edmonton.
Edmonton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Edmonton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Francis blocks a low kick nicely.
Francis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Francis gets tackled into the cage by Edmonton. Edmonton maintains the clinch.

Francis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Francis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Edmonton is trying to work for a kimura but Francis is defending well.

Edmonton postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Francis to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Edmonton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Edmonton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Francis on his heels. He'll look to pass Francis's guard now, I'm sure.

Oooooh!!! Edmonton has knocked Francis down with a huge combo! Edmonton steps away and waves a wobbly Francis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Well Edmonton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
