PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anselmo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anselmo Harris!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Harris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hill throws a leg kick that is checked
and Harris counters with a stiff right hand.
Harris is looking to clinch.
Hill appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
A good leg kick by Hill.
No joy there for Hill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Some bone on bone action there as Harris checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Harris shoots in but Hill avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Harris takes the fight into the clinch.

Harris lands with a short punch from the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hill throws an elbow but misses.

Harris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hill lands some shots froms side control.
Hill has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Harris is trying to work for a sweep but Hill has mounted him!

Hill scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Harris sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hill trying to control the action but Harris is working from the bottom.
Hill thows a huge punch but Harris dodges it nicely.
Harris is looking for a sweep. Hill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hill missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hill winds up and cracks Harris with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Harris looking for subs from the bottom but Hill mounts him!
Hill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.
The referee warns Harris that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Hill sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hill connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hill lands a big shot there that rocks Harris but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harris is bucking up trying to escape but Hill cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Hill looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Harris covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
