Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Paterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paterson throws a head kick that misses

and Mendes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mendes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mendes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mendes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Guilherme Mendes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
