Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arjen Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawson King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pain comes to the ring accompanied by Thunderstruck. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arjen Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dawson King!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain misses the shot to the body.
King has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pain is landing a low percentage of strikes.
King feints and then cracks Pain's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pain down.
King tried to score with a low kick but Pain checks it.
Pain connects with a good right hand that stumbles King. King circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
King misses with a kick to the body.
That kick from King tenderised Pain's leg. Pain is trying to keep his angry face on.
Pain tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pain throws a leg kick but King sees it coming and moves out of range.
Pain tests King's chin there with a solid looking shot.
King tries to work over Pain's front leg with a kick but Pain checks it.
King defending well as Pain loads up on a big left hand.
King keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pain.
Pain connects with a high kick.
A left lands for King.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King looks to score with a jab to the body but Pain is just out of range.
Pain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A head kick from Pain lands but King takes it in his stride.


It looks like Dawson King has been cut.

King comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pain on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pain on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by King. King obviously looking to wear him down.
Pain defending well as King loads up on a big left hand.

King gets tackled into the ropes by Pain. Pain maintains the clinch.
Still in the clinch, King scores with a nice short uppercut.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
King tries to work over Pain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Pain tries to throw a body punch but King avoids it by throwing Pain back against the ropes.
Pain drops to a knee looking for a takedown but King gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pain as King tries to tie him up.
Pain is trying to push King away but King has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Pain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.
King with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Pain fails in his attempt to clinch.
King avoids the body shot from Pain.
King now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Pain misses with a wild body shot.
Pain lands the left hand.
King throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King tries to work over Pain's front leg with a kick but Pain checks it.
King pushes Pain away with a front kick.
King is looking to score with low kicks.
King throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Pain is breathing heavily.
Pain tries a head kick but it misses.
Pain slips a jab from King.
A little feinted left hand from Pain on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

King displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pain throws out the jab.
Pain misses with a shot to the body
and King finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by King.
King misses with an uppercut.
Pain misses with a left hand
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
King lands a right hook to the body.
King looking to land some kicks to the body here.
King walks into a left hand.
Pain missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
King throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
King cracks a nice hook into Pain's ribs.
King cracks Pain with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
King misses with a hook. Pain ducked under it nicely.
Pain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pain is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pain avoids a kick to the body.
Pain lands with a hook. King tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Pain steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from King. That one must have hurt.
King fakes the leg kick and cracks Pain in the body.
King dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pain. That did some damage!

Pain closes the distance and pushes King back into the ropes.
Pain tries a body shot but King blocks it.
King makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Pain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pain will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
King scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A clash of legs there as Pain blocks the low kick.
Good leg kick by King there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract King.
Pain takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dawson King dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Dawson King's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


King misses with a low kick.
Pain swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
King moves out of range of the strikes.
Pain throws the left hand but King avoids the punch easily.
King takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
King displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pain throws out the jab.
Dawson King seems to be getting the better of the standup.
King throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
King moves out of range of the body kick from Pain.
Pain closes the distance but King moves to the side
and King connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King gets a clinch.
Pain tried to land a shot to the body but connects with King's elbow.
Pain is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but King is keeping busy.
King has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pain has a couple of punches blocked by King.

Pain struggles to land a body shot inside as King controls his hands.
King trying to control the position but instead, Pain has worked for underhooks and has pushed King into the ropes.
Pain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

King lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pain backwards.

King is trying to stall.
Pain tries to work over King's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
King tries a body shot but Pain blocks it.
King lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
King working aggressively here.
A nice left hand lands by King.

King manages to pull guard.
Pain wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.

King pushes a forearm under Pain's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pain is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dawson King!
After winning the bout, Dawson King thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
