The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talbert slaps away a takedown attempt from Branson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Talbert counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Branson.

Talbert throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Branson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Branson shoots in but Talbert avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Talbert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Branson dives in and grabs Talbert's left leg, looking for a takedown. Talbert pushes down on Branson's head and hops out.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Talbert has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Branson tries to close the distance and clinch but Talbert swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Talbert avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
