And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Jefe!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jefe drives through and clinches with Campbell against the cage.
Jefe is looking for a takedown.
Campbell tries to stall but Jefe uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jefe prevents Campbell from breaking the clinch.
Jefe keeps control of Campbell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Campbell decides to pull guard.
Jefe lands a couple of digs.
Jefe wants to get up but he can't break Campbell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jefe trying to control the position from guard on top but Campbell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Campbell wants to stand and escape but Jefe is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Campbell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jefe is proving hard to escape from.

Campbell is looking to work some ground and pound but Jefe has wrist control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jefe can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Campbell misses with a looping right.
Campbell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jefe moves away.
Jefe tries to clinch but Campbell is having none of it.
El Jefe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jefe forces Campbell back against the cage and clinches.
Jefe tries to throw a body punch but Campbell avoids it by throwing Jefe back against the cage.
Jefe misses with a body punch.
Campbell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jefe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jefe lands an uppercut.

Jefe has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Campbell uses from the top position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Campbell lands a nice short elbow.

Campbell tries to keep at a distance but Jefe has taken the fight into the clinch.

Campbell is working for takedown but Jefe is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jefe tries to throw a body punch but Campbell avoids it by throwing Jefe back against the cage.

Jefe has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Campbell is trying to keep an underhook but Jefe manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Campbell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
