The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakalinzi gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kleinschmidt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kleinschmidt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kleinschmidt throws a sloppy body shot
and Nakalinzi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nakalinzi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nakalinzi ducks under a wild hook from Kleinschmidt.
Nakalinzi doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Kleinschmidt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kleinschmidt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nakalinzi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nakalinzi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nakalinzi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kleinschmidt - the referee stops the clock and Nakalinzi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kleinschmidt. Nakalinzi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Nakalinzi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kleinschmidt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Elroy Kleinschmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kleinschmidt steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nakalinzi. That one must have hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Nakalinzi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kleinschmidt's knee momentarily.
Nakalinzi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kleinschmidt on the side of the head.

Nakalinzi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kleinschmidt's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakalinzi fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Kleinschmidt square on the jaw! Damn, Kleinschmidt is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
