The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masamune shoots in for a takedown but Rack shows good takedown defense.
Masamune throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rack counters with a single leg into guard. Masamune didn't expect that.
Masamune avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rack trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Masamune is keeping the position for now.
Rack working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Masamune's head.
Rack throwing strikes from guard but Masamune blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rack scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Rack content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Rack passes Masamune's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rack scores with a big shot! Masamune's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Masamune! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
