Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Giraffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Plouman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giraffe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is An epic song to hype you up because if you don't win you're fired.. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman has his takedown stuffed
enabling Giraffe to counter with a crisp jab.
We've been told by Giraffe's head coaches at Always Clean Double Elite that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Giraffe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Plouman takes one on the button.
Giraffe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Plouman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Giraffe wants to clinch.
Plouman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Plouman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Plouman dives in for a single leg takedown but Giraffe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Plouman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Giraffe swivels and escapes.
Big Giraffe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Plouman.
Plouman dives in and grabs Giraffe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Giraffe pushes down on Plouman's head and hops out.

Giraffe wants to clinch.
Plouman moves forwards but Giraffe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Plouman or perhaps it was just good defense by Giraffe, which made it look bad.
A looping hook to the body misses from Giraffe. Plouman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Giraffe lands a jab to the head.

Giraffe clinches up against the cage.

Giraffe throws a punch but it's blocked by Plouman.
Giraffe working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Giraffe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Plouman's elbow.
Giraffe prevents the takedown attempt.
Giraffe lands an uppercut.

Plouman gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Plouman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Giraffe wants to get back to his feet.

Plouman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Giraffe is just riding it out for now. Plouman eventually gives up the hold.
Plouman slips a nice elbow through Giraffe's hands, connecting with Giraffe's forehead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Plouman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Giraffe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Plouman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Giraffe keeps working.

Plouman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Giraffe could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Plouman has cracked it and Giraffe is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Plouman!
