Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John misses with a body shot.
Cowen tries to clinch but John is having none of it.
Cowen tries to clinch up but John circles away and keeps his distance.
John will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cowen closes the distance and clinches.
John is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cowen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

John is trying to break the clinch but Cowen has him pressed against the cage.
Cowen pushes John back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cowen lands an elbow inside.
Cowen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cowen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but John has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
John lands a hook that snaps the head of Cowen backwards.
A head punch on the inside from John fails to land.
Cowen unloads a knee to the mid-section. John lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Cowen scores with a knee to the head.
John takes an elbow to the forehead.
John wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cowen has him pressed against the cage.
John pushes Cowen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Cowen is pressed up against the cage. John has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cowen down to the mat. Cowen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
John is breathing heavily.
Cowen fails with a takedown attempt.

John shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

John is posturing up here but Cowen has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! John tries to roll out but it's too tight and John has to tap! Slick submission there by Cowen!
