Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisto Anttila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Warren Parker!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Anttila does a little dance to reset his feet.
Parker shoots in looking for a takedown but Anttila manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Parker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Anttila is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parker.

Anttila manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Parker on his heels. He'll look to pass Parker's guard now, I'm sure.
Anttila wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parker is trying to control the position but Anttila postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Taisto Anttila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anttila shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parker's guard.

Parker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anttila manages to get himself to full guard.

Anttila is looking for a triangle but Parker pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Parker is keen to just control but Anttila is a slippery customer.
Anttila preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Parker keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Anttila has his takedown stuffed
and Parker counters with a stiff right hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anttila fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Anttila looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parker is fending him off so far but Anttila persists. Nope, Parker circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Taisto Anttila will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Parker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Anttila is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Anttila counters with a takedown into side control.
Anttila moves into full mount!
Parker has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Anttila has got one arm under Parker's chin. This could be trouble... Parker trying to control the other hand but Anttila gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Parker has tapped out! The fight is over!
