The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pate tries a head kick but it misses.
Pate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Castillo wants to counter the offense by Pate and move into the clinch position.
Pate throws a head kick but Castillo moves out of range.
Pate misses with a double jab.
Pate motions for Castillo to come forward. Pate throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Castillo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pate pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And Castillo tries to counter it with a takedown but Pate pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Pate decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Castillo wants to control but Pate is keeping busy.

Pate thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Castillo's head.

Pate is working for a kimura but Castillo is defending it quite comfortably.
Pate thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pate missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Castillo is trying to maintain the position but Pate is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A head kick misses from Pate.
Pate throws a head kick but Castillo moves out of range.
Pate tries a head kick but it misses.
Castillo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Pate tries to clinch but Castillo moves away
and Castillo counters with a left and a right... And another left! Pate is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
