PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dom Diego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Zalac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zalac is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Survival - Eminem. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalac has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zalac there as he acknowledges the shot.

Zalac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diego avoids it really well and circles away.
Diego lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Diego keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Diego lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zalac needs to keep his hands up - Diego had a free shot at his head there.
Diego looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zalac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Alen Zalac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zalac takes one on the button.
Diego lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Zalac doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Zalac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Zalac takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Diego drops Zalac with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zalac looks back up at him and smiles so Diego waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Zalac drops his hands for a split second and Diego immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Zalac face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Diego follows up with a right hand that knocks Zalac into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Dom Diego decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
