Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Melekh David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spock has chosen Rolling Stones- 2,000 Light Years From Home as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spock throws a nice looking combination but David bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Spock blocks a head kick by David.

Spock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

David moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Spock has worked his arm free - good work by Spock!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The ground and pound from David seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

David wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spock has him pressed against the cage.

David shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spock's guard.
David is in close to Spock's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Spock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with David. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spock's hands are dropping dangerously low here and David connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Spock scrambles back to his feet.

David sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Melekh David overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
