PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sangram Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter comes to the cage accompanied by Mr. Crowley. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Project Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sangram Singh!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter lands the left hand.
Fighter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fighter fails to land with a series of punches.
Fighter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Singh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And Singh tries to counter it with a takedown but Fighter pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fighter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fighter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Singh backs up against the cage.
Fighter lands with a nice combination. Singh backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fighter throws a left that rocks Singh and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fighter dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Singh regain composure!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Singh can do anything to dispel that myth.

Project Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch lands to the side of Singh 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fighter lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Singh walks into a jab.
Fighter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fighter is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Martial Arts Dojo, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Fighter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Singh can do to turn this around?
