The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos swats away the attempt to clinch by Sackett.

Santos is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Sackett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sackett is looking to slow Santos down with leg kicks.
Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Santos tries to clinch but Sackett moves out of range.
Santos works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sackett manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Santos on his heels. He'll look to pass Santos's guard now, I'm sure.

Santos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sackett manages to get himself to full guard.

Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sackett is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Santos throws some wild stikes that Sackett manages to avoid easily.

Santos has hold of Sackett's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sackett manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Santos jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sackett manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sackett is not content to let Santos control the position.

Santos let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Sackett feints and as Santos raises his hands in defense, Sackett changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sackett is one step ahead there.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sackett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sackett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
