PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colton Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colton Warner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bradley wants to break free but Warner has control.
Stalling in the clinch from Warner.

Warner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Warner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Bradley as Warner shoots in.

Bradley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Warner has had enough of the clinch but Bradley keeps him there for the moment.
Bradley prevents Warner from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warner tries to break the clinch but Bradley is controlling the position.

Bradley manages to break the clinch.
Warner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bradley misses with a takedown
and Warner counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bradley is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Warner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bradley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Warner somewhat.
Bradley is looking to counter punch.
Emerson Bradley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colton Warner.

Warner has Bradley up against the cage in a clinch.
Warner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bradley up against the cage.

Bradley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Warner tries to land a knee to the head but Bradley blocks with his arms.

Warner throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bradley.


It looks like Emerson Bradley has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Warner.
Warner connects with a leg kick. Bradley looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Warner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bradley avoids it really well and circles away.
Bradley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bradley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warner tries to avoid it but Bradley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warner to the ground. Warner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Colton Warner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warner attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Warner shoots in for a double leg but Bradley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Warner shoots for a takedown but Bradley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Warner moves into the clinch.
Bradley prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bradley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Warner trying to stall but Bradley improves his position.
Warner is working for takedown but Bradley is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bradley tries to circle away but Warner has him pinned against the cage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Warner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bradley.
Bradley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Warner but Warner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Warner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bradley throws a big counter combination but Warner scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bradley is pushing Warner up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Warner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Warner has a takedown stuffed.

Warner now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

and Bradley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Bradley closes the distance and clinches.
Bradley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Warner just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bradley is trying to break the clinch but Warner is controlling him.

Bradley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Warner jumps guard but Bradley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Warner wants to take the fight to the mat but Bradley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bradley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Warner's efforts to push away.

A close second round but Colton Warner will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!



Bradley closes the distance and pushes Warner back into the cage.
Warner keeps control of Bradley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bradley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Warner uses from the top position.
Warner is fighting to break Bradley's control of his arms but Bradley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Bradley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Warner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bradley has Warner in his guard.

Bradley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bradley wants to stand and escape but Warner is having none of it.
Bradley is pulling down on Warner's head. It's preventing any offense from Warner, at least for the moment.
Warner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Warner passes Bradley's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Warner is working for a kimura but Bradley is defending it quite comfortably.
Warner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bradley is concentrating on defense, preventing Warner from advancing position.
Bradley is looking to escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Emerson Bradley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Colton Warner seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Warner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bradley circles away quickly and effectively.

I think Warner has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
