Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Villalba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tong Xiaojian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tong Xiaojian has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Leonardo Villalba's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonardo Villalba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tong Xiaojian!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xiaojian instigates a clinch.
Villalba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Xiaojian walks away with a smile on his face. Villalba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Villalba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Xiaojian drives through and clinches with Villalba against the cage.
Villalba is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Xiaojian to keep the fight standing.
Xiaojian lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Villalba jumps guard but Xiaojian turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Villalba. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Xiaojian taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Villalba is trying to pull guard but Xiaojian has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Xiaojian creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Villalba decides to pull guard.
Xiaojian would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Xiaojian wants to stand and escape but instead Villalba has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Villalba thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Xiaojian is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Villalba is controlling him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Xiaojian can do anything to dispel that myth.

Villalba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Villalba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Xiaojian wants to stand up but Villalba is controlling him.

Villalba drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Villalba seems to have locked his on tight now - Xiaojian screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Villalba, as he picks up the win!
