Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Light has chosen Ride for This-Fabolous as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bobby Light acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Light throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Light off to one side.
Light looks for a takedown but Burns sprawls well.
Burns takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Nice body kick from Burns.
Burns jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Light swinging wildly here.
Burns connects with a crisp jab.
A jab lands there for Burns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Light lands a nice hook to Burns's body. Burns takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Light tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burns sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Light somewhat.
An attempted straight right counter from Burns misses the target.
Carl Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Light.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Light enables Burns to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Light manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Burns trying to control but Light is working from the bottom.

Light has his foot on Burns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Burns works his way back into a safe position though.

Burns wants to control from the top but Light keeps moving.

Light isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Burns stacks Light on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Burns!

Light seems a little lost for a moment, as Burns dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Light is trying to get back to half guard.
Burns working the ground and pound.
Light tries to improve position but can't.
Light prevents Burns from improving position.
Burns grinds an elbow into Light's temple.
Light is looking for a sweep.
Burns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Light keeps working.

Light wants to control but Burns postures up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Burns tries to advance to mount but Light denies him.
Burns wants to control but Light is keeping him busy.
Light tries to improve position but can't.
Burns creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Light sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Light takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Burns in side control lands a decent elbow.

Light can't do much from the bottom here.
Light is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Burns off and has taken his back!
Burns just trying to survive but Light is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

A solid leg kick lands there for Burns.
Light misses with a takedown attempt
and Burns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Light works over Burns's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Carl Burns has been cut.
Light misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burns throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Light looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Burns turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Light throws a head kick but Burns moves out of range.
Burns bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Light's head.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Burns throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Light is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
