Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). German Valdez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dallas Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, German Valdez!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley scores with a takedown into Valdez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Valdez keeping moving, preventing Riley from controlling successfully.
Riley lands a couple of elbows.
Riley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Valdez pulls Riley in to control the position.
Riley tries to free his leg and advance position but Valdez is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Valdez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Riley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Valdez is on him like a limpet, forcing Riley back against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dallas Riley.
Well Riley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
