Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jefferey Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Weeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferey Buck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikey Weeks!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weeks looking to score a takedown here. Buck is defending well but Weeks drives through and ends up in Buck's guard.
Weeks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Buck is keeping the position for now.
Buck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Weeks is controlling him.
Weeks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Weeks stands and steps away. Buck gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Weeks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Buck counters with a head kick. That will keep Weeks thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Buck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Buck throws a big counter combination but Weeks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

No joy there for Buck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A head kick from Buck lands but Weeks takes it in his stride.
Weeks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buck had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Weeks defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buck is looking to stand back up but Weeks counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Buck.
Buck is looking for a sweep. Weeks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Weeks trying to control from half guard but Buck is working away.
Weeks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Buck defending well though.
Buck is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Weeks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Weeks's back!
Buck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Buck gets his hands free as Weeks looks to control.
Weeks wants to escape the position.
The referee is taking a good look at Weeks as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Buck!

Buck is trying to stick to Weeks's back but Weeks is turning into Buck. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Buck's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Weeks.

Buck is looking for a triangle but Weeks pushes his legs off easily.

Weeks has gone for a leg lock! Buck slips out almost immediately though and dives into Weeks's guard.


Buck postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Weeks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Buck, into his guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Weeks wants to control from the top but Buck keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Weeks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Buck to the ground. Weeks is now in Buck's guard.
Weeks trying to control but Buck is working from the bottom.

Buck has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weeks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Buck is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Weeks presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Weeks is looking to control Buck's arms but Buck gets an underhook and turns him. Now Weeks has his back to the cage.

Buck tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Weeks manages to circle out of the way.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Buck dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Weeks. That did some damage!

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buck, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
