Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Phoenix might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Phoenix. Kilpatrick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gentleman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilpatrick throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Phoenix getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A bone on bone clash there as Kilpatrick blocks the leg kick.

Kilpatrick shoots in and bounces Phoenix off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kilpatrick's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Phoenix not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Phoenix tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kilpatrick pushes down on Phoenix's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kilpatrick wants to take a breather but Phoenix is having none of it.
