Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colburn Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dejesus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sackett sprawls well. Sackett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dejesus gets slowly back to his feet.
Dejesus slaps away a takedown attempt from Sackett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
An attempted straight right counter from Dejesus misses the target.

Dejesus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sackett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dejesus is in Sackett's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dejesus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dejesus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sackett to the mat! Sackett manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sackett wants to get back to his feet but Dejesus passes into half guard.
Dejesus content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Dejesus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sackett's guard.
Sackett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dejesus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dejesus slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Dejesus passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Dejesus throws a strike aimed at the side of Sackett's head but Sackett avoids it well.
Sackett is looking to get back to his feet here but Dejesus is keeping cool and he's managed to take Sackett's back.
